Elecsis have designed and manufactured a new range of type tested switchgear incorporating Schneider equipment to enhance their already proven ABB range of arc contained switchgear, currently being incorporated on the MARs tanker programme for the UK’s MoD. Working with our Korean partners KTE, the design will be used to manufacture the 440V switchboards and control equipment required for the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) Logistics and Support Vessel.
The vessel will be built in DSME’s Okpo yard and will measure 180 meters in length, 26 meters in beam, and have a displacement of over 26,000 tonnes. Delivery to the Royal Norwegian Navy is expected in September 2016.
